Chris Chambless and Sarah Fergusson originally met back in 1999 when they were both freshmen at Atlanta College of Art (now SCAD) and Emory University, respectively. They found themselves running in the same circles and attending the same parties, and became good friends over the years they were in college. They gradually lost touch after Sarah moved to Los Angeles to join the corps of Teach for America in 2002 and teach in Compton, California, but the two couldn’t stay apart forever.

When fate found Sarah moving back to Atlanta for law school at Emory University in 2005, she concocted a scheme to reunite with Chris, planning her friend’s birthday party at the club where she thought Chris might be veejaying at the time. The two reconnected, and the rest, as they say, is history. When Sarah graduated from law school and accepted a position as a corporate attorney at a law firm in Los Angeles, the two packed all their belongings Chris’s orange Honda Element and struck out for Santa Monica. Four and a half years after their reunion, the two love to spend their spare time outdoors, exploring the nation’s parks by backcountry camping, hiking and mountain biking together from their home base in Marina Del Rey, California.

We hope you all can find your way to Atlanta to share our special day with us on May 1, 2011. Hopefully our website will help you to plan some of the details of your trip. Here’s to a fun and exciting journey!
